Ruby Anne Jewellery
Yes, I am currently working on some bridal jewellery for a bride that wants something a bit different… to be revealed in November 2018.
Meet the maker....
In 2013 my lovely husband built me a studio at the bottom of the garden, nestled into the woods in Gowerton, Swansea. It’s from here that I work on small batches of ceramic jewellery which go through a four week process of making. Poppy, our black Labrador, likes to sit by my feet whilst I work. I have three boys, two who are now teenagers and one who is not far behind.
Using soft porcelain, I form by hand contemporary designs inspired by the coast; shape, light, colour and reflection. After the pieces have had their 3rd and final 'gold' firing they are teamed with precious metals to create original and unique pieces of jewellery.
Describe your business in three words...
Colourful, contemporary, eye-catching
Three things that inspire you...
Winter sunlight, coastal walks, conversation
Holidays, weekends, lemon meringue pie
Ironing, rain on the school run, spiders
